Drink lots of water to hydrate yourself before going to sleep and to prevent a hangover, which is caused by the dehydration from the alcohol.
But as far as driving, why risk killing someone's Mom? or any other innocent person? Catch a ride or sleep where you are.

Young males should go through counceling as well as the females bnecause both males and females have equal responsibilitto the child or children.
It is important to know the seriousness of getting pregnant. Having a child is a big responsibility. It's a lifetime commitment. There are many different ways to prevent pregnancy when it's not intended.

If the female does not have hepatitis due to prevention shots but the male has b and c will the fetus have it?
i just found out that i am pregnant and the father has both hepatitis b and c but i do not because i got the 3 prevention shots but i need to know since his sperm carries both if the fetus will automatically have both or any or what the chance of the baby being born with hepatitis b and or c. my prevention shots gave me an immunity but i did not receive the first prevention shot for hepatitis b until 3 months of constant contact with both hepatitis b and c.i am worried that my baby can be born with the viruses or birth defects.

Internet credit card fraud prevention?
I am setting up an online business. I am going to sell downloadable products that allow customers to receive merchandises as soon as they provide the necessary credit card information. It won't take long for a transaction to be completed. It, therefore, won't leave me any chance to apply fraud prevention methods such as matching billing address to ship-to address, address verification, IP address check etc...I was advised to ask for the Card Verification number along with the credit card number but I am just not sure if a hacker could obtain that info (CVV2, CVC2) from the credit card companies database. It looks like nothing is impossible for hightech crooks for I have seen a long list of credit card info posted in some forum so that anyone could use it to conduct fraud.

I have IBS and I am a small person but I look pregnant about every time I eat because I bloat so bad. Is there a cure/ prevention? Perhaps a certain type of food I should avoid?

Get your sodium intake waaayyy down, sometimes a diuretic is helpful. Stay away from sodas, drink water instead of canned drinks of any sort. I think greasy foods also tend to make you bloat. I have GERD, and I bloat just like you do. Avoidance is the best way, but if you get too much salt and sodium, potassium and preservatives like you find in wines and beers, or packaged foods and deli meats, you will bloat. Stay away from lactic acid - and sodium lactate - both make me bloat. They are found in bacon, some canned drinks, deli meats and the like. Drink lots of water if you are bloated, believe it or not that's the only way to get the sodium out of your system. Gatorade is a no-no.
Reply:I recommend keeping a food journal and noting when you bloat up. It will help you to determine what foods are causing you to bloat up. Drinking the right amount of water for your size also helps with bloating. Remember to talk to your doctor too about your bloating.

128 days 40lbs injury prevention fitness program tips :) TIA?
i am not new to exercise- in fact i love it.
i have stopped doing it, for last few months, i have been doing light jogs and getting back into it. in fact i am overweight because i eat too much.
i have set some goals and i am going to watch my 1500 calories each day like a hawk.
i am also at 32 not a young chick no more - going to start a heavy weight, cardio, and abs program-
can i plz get some advise on how to avoid injury- i want to make it 128 days w/out injury on my knees, or feet- i am fat, and i carry alot of muscel, that is why 155 is right weight 4 me.
if i loose the weight will my knees not injury as easy, do i injur becayse of the extra weight- tips, websites, any info on program suggestions, as well as injury prevention would so be apreciated.

I'm in a Peer Education class where we give advice and guidance to underclassmen about pregnancy, domestic violence, drugs, etc. We're doing a presentation on suicide prevention tomorrow for a few freshman classes and I'm supposed to come up with some kind of "energizer" to get the kids interested in the subject before we start the actual presentation.
All I could think of was doing something with statistics and making into some kind of game. I don't know. I don't want to mess this up because it's a touchy subject to work with and I don't want to offend anyone. So, I'm asking for your help, what should I do to grab their attention?

I heard my aunt and a counselor talking about a relapse prevention program. I have no idea what they're discussing. Does anyone know what that is? See, my cousin John is going out of rehab in a couple of days and I think it has something to do with it but I really don't understand a thing. Help me please!

I was wondering where I can get free condoms for distribution on the HIV/AIDS prevention event in a small community. I have asked major condom manufacturers and charities but so far have not succeeded. There are places such as family clinics etc. but i can't seem to find any sponsor that will provide large amount of condoms and/or HIV/AIDS prevention materials (for distribution)

Kohl's Loss Prevention or Target Assets Protection..?
Okay.. So I'm currently working for Target Assets Protection and just got offered a job at Kohl's as Loss Prevention.. I have been doing AP at Target for quite some time although I'm not so much satisfied with the pay.
Anyone know how much Kohl's LP pays?? That's just for a regular LP Agent..
And which is better in general?? I know nothing about Kohl's LP and how they operate. All I know is that the supervisor who talked to me about the job was all cut up at the face.
Can someone please fill me in on some info???

About baldness and prevention.?
hi guys,i am 19 years old male experiencing problem with my hair.they are showing sign they are gonna be bald,since they are already thinning,and I'm just 19 years for god sake.
I know that they falls 50-100 everyday,but they still regrow,so basically no loss right.I can't keep track on how much mine fall everyday but everytime I take a shower I notice they fall about 4-6,could be more..when I woke up they fall about 3-4.then if this amount still normal could it be
1.the hair I couldn't keep track falls rapidly than I could imagine
2.the regrowing hair is insufficient or maybe not growing at all
I also notice that if I didn't wash my hair too long until they got oily,they become more likely fall,thats why I always wash my hair EVERY 12 hours or around that.is it right?
yeah so that's my symptoms please also give your opinion,view,anything and above all suggestion on prevention,from natural vitamin to tonic would do.

Don't wash your hair more than once a day because it will damage the root follicle's and the scalp itself. Also it is completely common for hair to fall out a certain amount each day. However stress, and malnutrition can lead to more excessive hair loss. So keep that in mind and check your diet for balanced nutrition, try to de-stress as much as you can. And don't worry about it so much. One of my older brothers started to have the same problem, and he doesn't have any problems getting chicks. lol. Hang in there. Besides, you wouldn't believe how many bald guys there are out there. It's like a trend.

Reply:I don't know how bad your hair loss is, but at 19, I'm assuming that you have reason to think that you'll be bald by 25 or so. If that's the case, then change your diet so that your food intake enriches the hair. Vitamin C, vitamin B complex, protein, and zinc are recommended by nutritionist for healthy hair. Stay away from fatty foods.
Then, start using shampoos that are designed to nourish the scalp. Nioxin comes to mind. Do these for a year or so. If no improvement, then use Rogaine or minoxidil.

Is there any prevention for cyst?
I've a cyst surgery on Nov 2002 (A cyst on my right ovary) but this year (Jan 2006) I find out that I've cysts in both ovaries :( And I'm going for another surgery in Jul 2006.) Is there any prevention for cyst not to come back? I understand cyst do have many kind, my kind do cause me pain in my ovaries and lower abdomen. The pain is unbearable. What's cyst actually and how it form it?

I heard that some cysts can be caused by pin worms. Apparently, many humans have some sort of parasite without knowing it. It's possible you could have pinworms, and you can get it checked out if you want. (pin worms come out a tnight to lay their eggs, and sometimes they accidentally go up the wrong hole)

Personally i think and im not a doctor but i think mine was caused from birth control. I had the norplant for 3 years. Now i just had a baby(its crazy but i thought after the sergury i wasnt going to be able to get pregnant) and i refuse and terrified to get on birth control. I make my husband do that part. And every since i havent had a problem. However they do say birth control pills are supposed to help get rid of them but mine was soooo big, its your choice go with your instincts, AND PRAY.

Possible experiment(s) dealing with the prevention of Antibiotic Resistance?
I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me in deciding a method of performing an experiment related to the prevention of Antibiotic Resistance.
(Antibiotic Resistance - the ability for micro-organisms to withstand the effects of an antibiotic - involves evolution to adapt to antibiotics).
Any help on the subject of prevention would be appreciated, but an experimental design recommendation would be ideal. I would like to perform an experiment that involves e. coli bacteria (it would be easy to acquire) and ampicillin discs (or any other practical antibiotic).

basically speaking; antibiotics inhibits a certain reaction in the bacteria that leads to its death or arrested growth (baceriocidal %26amp; static). the bacteria develop resistence by 'bypassing' this step in the reaction %26amp; develop a new pathway that forms the target product of the reaction (leaving completely the antibiotic with its action). so in these situations; the only way is to develop 'another' antibiotic (new one) that target the new pathway.

Living in Florida for many years everyone knows to use few drops in each ears of one part rubbing alcool and 3 parts vinegar will prevents ear infection due to humidity and swimming. But for cold and flu prevention the best one is to wash your hands and use Airborne a supplement to help reduce the chance for being sick.

O.K. my Daughter is in first grade, and Five kids from her class went home with lice today, many of the girls she plays with, nurse checked and didn't see anything, my daughter also has very long hair, longest in her class!!!! IS there any PREVENTION I can take so she does not get it????? should I keep her out of school a day or two?

Do not keep her out of school. Switch to a tea tree oil based shampoo and that should help. If you have any worries about her getting it apply tea tree oil straight to the scalp and cover with a shower cap for 30 minutes and then shampoo as normal. Lice hate tea tree oil so using a shampoo with this in it is a great way to ward off infestations.

Here are the four steps we use in class as relapse prevention planning:
Step 1: Stabilization:
Relapse prevention planning probably won't work unless the relapser is sober and in control of themselves. Detoxification and a few good days of sobriety are needed in order to make relapse prevention planning work. Remember that many patients who relapse are toxic. Even though sober they have difficulty thinking clearly, remembering things and managing their feelings and emotions. These symptoms get worse when the person is under high stress or is isolated from people to talk to about the problems of staying sober. To surface intense therapy issues with someone who has a toxic brain can increase rather than decrease the risk of relapse. In early abstinence go slow and focus on basics. The key question is "What do you need to do to not drink today?"
Step 2: Assessment:
The assessment process is designed to identify the recurrent pattern of problems that caused past relapses and resolve the pain associated with those problems. This is accomplished by reconstructing the presenting problems, the life history, the alcohol and drug use history and the recovery relapse history.
Step 3: Relapse Education:
Relapsers need to learn about the relapse process and how to manage it. It's not a bad idea to get their family and Twelve Step Sponsors involved. The education needs to reinforce four major messages: First, relapse is a normal and natural part of recovery from chemical dependence. There is nothing to be ashamed or embarrassed about. Second, people are not suddenly taken drunk. There a progressive patterns of warning signs that set them up to use again. These warning signs can be identified and recognized while sober. Third, once identified recovering people can learn to manage the relapse warning signs while sober. And Fourth, there is hope. A new counseling procedure called relapse prevention therapy can teach recovering people how to recognize and manage warning signs so a return to chemical use becomes unnecessary.

I am looking for an entry-level position in the field of loss prevention. I have been wanting to explore a position in loss prevention for quite some time now and finally decided to have a change of careers and pursue my dreams. My long term goal is to make a career out of this and in a couple of years become a law enforce officer. I have some experience in loss prevention from when I worked at the bank. I was always on the look out for fraudulent bills, checks and suspicious transactions. While it is some experience I understand that it is nothing like an actual loss prevention job and that may concern some employers. My only response to them is that what I don’t have in experience I make up for in desire and ambitions. I am aware that this job is very dangerous at times and I am intimidated. If this is your MIL's situation make sure she has regular pelvic exams since tamoxifen raises the chances of developing uterine cancer - which can be easily treated in the early stages in a woman getting regular exams.

Is heartworm prevention really safe ?
Yopu hear so much about drugs %26amp; there side effects .Has there been any concerns about heartworm prevention .It has to be a poison %26amp; they want you to have your dog on it year around won't this have bad effects on your dog .I question this because our 8 yr.old wheaten died from heart cancer.We now have a pup %26amp; I am questioning alot about vaccines how safe are they really -as safe as the dogfood?

Heartworm preventative can cause reaction in some dogs just as anything can. Some dogs need a different type of preventative then others. For the most part though heartweorm preventative is safe if given correctly and in proper dosage for your dog.Heartworm prevention is much safer then the treatment for heartworms.
As for vaccinations..yearly is no longer recommended by the AAHA/AVMA or the 27 vet schools. It has been very well studied by several universities and at least one major drug company and has been determined that over vaccination is a very real problem and that vaccines are effective longer then a year. The protocol now is 3 years, however that may be changing in another year or so to be 5-7 years due to ongoing research.
It is also recommended that lepto, lyme, parainfluenza %26amp; kennel Cough (bordatella) vaccinations not be given to all dogs..only to those that are at very high risk of exposure.
It is also recommended that NO dog get vaccinated for coronavirus, adenovirus-1 or giardia.
No puppy should ever be vaccinated before they have completed their 7th week but preferably 8-9 weeks. The puppy series should NEVER be more then a series of 3 and these are done 4 weeks apart. It is also recommended that no puppy receive rabies vaccinations under 20 weeks of age and never at the same time as other vaccinations.

Reply:Good question, I have seen people suggest that all the drugs are poisons, and that their dogs live much longer without the medications. I guess you take your pick of options, either risk poisoning the dog with the medications, or risk the parasites. Neither option is ideal.
Reply:despite what they may tell you there are negative consequences and they vary by breed. Some breeds (collies I know is one) are more susceptible to having a heart attack. All dogs are to some extent as the dead worms can block arteries and / or heart valves. You can get information about how many cases of heartworm were reported in your county from your state. I'd check that out first. Some Vets prescribe it as an additional source of revenue more than need.
Reply:There are only a few breeds (Collie/Shepherd breeds) that are intolerant to ivomectine and need to be on other heartworm preventative medicines. Ivomectine has been proved to be quite safe for most breeds. Most of us that have quite a few dogs make our own heartworm medication. There is plenty of information on the net of how to mix, and what the dosage would be. The only problem is that if a person were making it for only one dog, one batch of the medication would last the lifetimes of your next three or four dogs.
Ivomectine will also take care of the dogs other de-worming needs. It is also what we use (in stronger doses) for de-worming horses.
Remember tho' that ALL drugs of ALL kinds are a toxin, even the ones approved for humans. So as we well know, from the common cold on up, it's a case of damned if you do and damned if you don't.

They can die from the treatment needed to kill heartworms.
Ivermectin, the drug in most heartworm tablets is very safe and has been used in horses for many years. It is safe for breeding stallions and even foals. It is hard to overdose a horse on the medecine and is safe up to like 10 times a normal dose.
Depending on where you live and the amount of heartworm cases in your area you would have to make that decision to prevent or not.
In our area I would never not prevent as one clinic in our area had over 200 positives last year. That is alot for one clinic to see and they think it is getting worse in our area. So I will always prevent.

Believe me, I have a rescued she-dog who has severe heart and lung damage from heartworms.
Many things in our world are not good for our pets.
Think of the flea spray and collars.
I use flea spray sparingly, only when fleas are seen or found.
Also the weed and bug killers we throw or spray in our yards... all poison.
You do need to vaccinate and use heartworm prevention.
These are so much better than the alternative (the diseases).

Reply:Good question, I have seen people suggest that all the drugs are poisons, and that their dogs live much longer without the medications. I guess you take your pick of options, either risk poisoning the dog with the medications, or risk the parasites. Neither option is ideal.
Reply:despite what they may tell you there are negative consequences and they vary by breed. Some breeds (collies I know is one) are more susceptible to having a heart attack. All dogs are to some extent as the dead worms can block arteries and / or heart valves. You can get information about how many cases of heartworm were reported in your county from your state. I'd check that out first. Some Vets prescribe it as an additional source of revenue more than need.
Reply:There are only a few breeds (Collie/Shepherd breeds) that are intolerant to ivomectine and need to be on other heartworm preventative medicines. Ivomectine has been proved to be quite safe for most breeds. Most of us that have quite a few dogs make our own heartworm medication. There is plenty of information on the net of how to mix, and what the dosage would be. The only problem is that if a person were making it for only one dog, one batch of the medication would last the lifetimes of your next three or four dogs.
Ivomectine will also take care of the dogs other de-worming needs. It is also what we use (in stronger doses) for de-worming horses.
Remember tho' that ALL drugs of ALL kinds are a toxin, even the ones approved for humans. So as we well know, from the common cold on up, it's a case of damned if you do and damned if you don't.

They can die from the treatment needed to kill heartworms.
Ivermectin, the drug in most heartworm tablets is very safe and has been used in horses for many years. It is safe for breeding stallions and even foals. It is hard to overdose a horse on the medecine and is safe up to like 10 times a normal dose.
Depending on where you live and the amount of heartworm cases in your area you would have to make that decision to prevent or not.
In our area I would never not prevent as one clinic in our area had over 200 positives last year. That is alot for one clinic to see and they think it is getting worse in our area. So I will always prevent.

Believe me, I have a rescued she-dog who has severe heart and lung damage from heartworms.
Many things in our world are not good for our pets.
Think of the flea spray and collars.
I use flea spray sparingly, only when fleas are seen or found.
Also the weed and bug killers we throw or spray in our yards... all poison.
You do need to vaccinate and use heartworm prevention.
These are so much better than the alternative (the diseases).

Child abuse prevention?
I am doing a project on child abuse prevention and I am trying to find a way to educate young parents. Anybody have any ideas as to how one would set up programs to educate parents. The project deals with breaking the cycle of abuse. We see many times where the children who are being abuse are being abused by their parents. These parents are young, under the age of 24. I am trying to think of a way to educat them.

You could also contact your closest agency and ask for information. There are programs that you can go to. I work for the domestic violence for women department, so I don't have a whole lot of info I can give you on child abuse but your local agency can give you all the information on it that you need.

Many people on here already stated that abstinance is the best policy and I agree.
However; using condoms with contraceptive foam/jelly, placing yourself on birth control, and understanding what STD's you can obtain are very good as well.

Does anybody have any cures/prevention for canker sores?
Ever since I had braces when i was a kid, I get canker sores. You know those big, painful, 7 to 10 day lasting sores. My grandmother gets them too and she had them her whole life until she found a mouthwash called Prevention. I finally started using it religiously and sure enough, now I am free of canker sores!!!! I'm not selling the stuff or anything like that. I just wanted to let everyone know that it could work for them.

Mud fever prevention routines for winter?
What routine and products does everyone use in the winter to prevent mud fever?
I start early as prevention is better than cure.
At the moment I'm washing my horse's legs with warm water and hibi scrub liquid, drying with a towel (or mild hairdryer) and then bandaging over night (she's in at night).
She then has mud block on her pasterns and heels for turning out in the morning.
Anybody know of any good products or methods to keep away the bacteria?

Used to do it with polo ponies that get roughed off for 6 months in the winter - also put it all over their backs to prevent rain scald. The coat has to be dry though otherwise moisture gets trapped at the roots and the hair will come out.
