Peer Education; Suicide Prevention presentation, help?
I'm in a Peer Education class where we give advice and guidance to underclassmen about pregnancy, domestic violence, drugs, etc. We're doing a presentation on suicide prevention tomorrow for a few freshman classes and I'm supposed to come up with some kind of "energizer" to get the kids interested in the subject before we start the actual presentation.
All I could think of was doing something with statistics and making into some kind of game. I don't know. I don't want to mess this up because it's a touchy subject to work with and I don't want to offend anyone. So, I'm asking for your help, what should I do to grab their attention?
Peer Education; Suicide Prevention presentation, help?
Maybe you could mention something in pop culture. The television show Desperate Housewives is narrated by a character who kills herself in the pilot episode. In the latest episode, there were many references to suicide, and an older lady tried to kill another character and make it look like suicide.
I don't know if that's the kind of thing you're looking for, but good luck!

What are relapse prevention programs?
I heard my aunt and a counselor talking about a relapse prevention program. I have no idea what they're discussing. Does anyone know what that is? See, my cousin John is going out of rehab in a couple of days and I think it has something to do with it but I really don't understand a thing. Help me please!
What are relapse prevention programs?
Relapse prevention programs were made to help a previous alcoholic or drug addict continue on with their recovery. They are special programs that helps people to deal with stress and problems better so that they will not go back to drinking alcohol or abusing drugs again. Some relapse prevention programs include family therapies, group discussions, spiritual lectures, anger-management classes and other fun activities. This just means that the counselor and your aunt are discussing ways to ensure your cousin's full recovery.
Reply:They're probably going to put him in one of those sumo wrestling stables or something like that.

HELP: free condoms for HIV/AIDS prevention events?
Hi Guys,
I was wondering where I can get free condoms for distribution on the HIV/AIDS prevention event in a small community. I have asked major condom manufacturers and charities but so far have not succeeded. There are places such as family clinics etc. but i can't seem to find any sponsor that will provide large amount of condoms and/or HIV/AIDS prevention materials (for distribution)
HELP: free condoms for HIV/AIDS prevention events?
If you are from GB, which i very much doubt, try the Terence Higgins trust
Reply:i dont know maybe you could try family planning clinics and you local docter i dont know if this would work but yes hope this helps
Reply:If you are from the United States, I am sure you can speak to your county health department about sponsoring the event by providing condoms. I am sure they would be willing to help. I would also like to say that I commend you on putting together a HIV/AIDS prevention event. That is a very worthy cause! Good Job, and keep up the good work!

What does lost prevention mean?
I tried to put money into my bank account but it said account closed do to lost prevention. What does that mean?
What does lost prevention mean?
What they said is "loss prevention".
They are trying to prevent losses. They think you will cost them money.
Reply:It means that the bank thought they were going to lose money on your account. If it was a new account they might have done a credit check or you had a check that either you wrote or deposited returned.

Kohl's Loss Prevention or Target Assets Protection..?
Okay.. So I'm currently working for Target Assets Protection and just got offered a job at Kohl's as Loss Prevention.. I have been doing AP at Target for quite some time although I'm not so much satisfied with the pay.
Anyone know how much Kohl's LP pays?? That's just for a regular LP Agent..
And which is better in general?? I know nothing about Kohl's LP and how they operate. All I know is that the supervisor who talked to me about the job was all cut up at the face.
Can someone please fill me in on some info???
No stupid comments please.
Thanks in advance.
Kohl's Loss Prevention or Target Assets Protection..?
you should way out the benefits you have at your current position against the benefits you will have at Kohl's i.e. pay, 401k, vesting in the company match etc,,, if you are happy at your current position it is wiser to stay where you know the routine and try to advance where you are as moving lateral is not always a good move,,, if bored with your current position ask your manager for extra duties, whats the next level for your position maybe you can do 1 day at another store like a floater maybe that would give you more responsibility!? remember once you leave a company they may not want you back should it not go well at the other place!!
lucky nuts

About baldness and prevention.?
hi guys,i am 19 years old male experiencing problem with my hair.they are showing sign they are gonna be bald, since they are already thinning, and I'm just 19 years for god sake.
I know that they falls 50-100 everyday, but they still regrow,so basically no loss right.I can't keep track on how much mine fall everyday but everytime I take a shower I notice they fall about 4-6,could be more..when I woke up they fall about 3-4.then if this amount still normal could it be
1.the hair I couldn't keep track falls rapidly than I could imagine
2.the regrowing hair is insufficient or maybe not growing at all
I also notice that if I didn't wash my hair too long until they got oily, they become more likely fall, thats why I always wash my hair EVERY 12 hours or around that.is it right?
yeah so that's my symptoms please also give your opinion, view, anything and above all suggestion on prevention, from natural vitamin to tonic would do.
About baldness and prevention.?
Don't wash your hair more than once a day because it will damage the root follicle's and the scalp itself. Also it is completely common for hair to fall out a certain amount each day. However stress, and malnutrition can lead to more excessive hair loss. So keep that in mind and check your diet for balanced nutrition, try to de-stress as much as you can. And don't worry about it so much. One of my older brothers started to have the same problem, and he doesn't have any problems getting chicks. lol. Hang in there. Besides, you wouldn't believe how many bald guys there are out there. It's like a trend.
Reply:i never found anything to stop the hair loss.iam 58 and i lost my hair on top of my head when i was 21.its not that bad,and some women love a bald guy.
Reply:I don't know how bad your hair loss is, but at 19, I'm assuming that you have reason to think that you'll be bald by 25 or so. If that's the case, then change your diet so that your food intake enriches the hair. Vitamin C, vitamin B complex, protein, and zinc are recommended by nutritionist for healthy hair. Stay away from fatty foods.
Then, start using shampoos that are designed to nourish the scalp. Nioxin comes to mind. Do these for a year or so. If no improvement, then use Rogaine or minoxidil.
Hope that helps.
Reply:OK... keep a short, short hair cut.
Keep it clean.
Eat properly... a well balanced NUTRITIONAL diet... malnutrition contributes to hair loss.
And if you have the habit...QUIT SMOKING!! Beliefve it or not it affects EVERY cell in your body and inhibits growth hormones.
Reply:my hubbie started going bald young just keep it shaved or nicely trimed and woman do find it sexy as long as it is not combed to the side
Reply:SOmeone told me once that a folic acid supplement helps hair loss
Reply:You may have hormonal problems. consult doctor.
Reply:Not an expert but from what I have seen is baldness is mostly hereditary, aside from that, I have noticed that most men who go bald where ball caps. But maybe they started wearing them to hide the fact they balding. But most women do not wear hats on an every day basis, %26amp; women keep their hair longer. Just an observation.
