Data execution prevention problems.?

hi defraged my laptop a few days ao and message boxes started popping up saying data execution prevention it keeps closing the windows explorer. my laptop uses xp service pack 2 i've never had this problem before. i tried to do a system restore but it didn't work

some processors have a function that signals an error when the program segment (PSEG) overlaps with the data segment (DSEG). You may have a bios setting that will turn this off. This caused by a hardware memory managment security function that was intended to trap possible security holes in jpeg files.
