is REVOLUTION a good herathworm prevention for dogs?

Honestly Revolution for dogs is not that fabulous. I would stick to something like Heartgard. It seems like a good deal cause it's supposed to take care of fleas and such but it really doesn't. You are paying more for nothing. It is fantastic on cats though!
Reply:i would use an alternative but i havent heard anything bad about revolution....also flee controls like frontline have heartworm prevention biult in i think
Reply:I've heard that Revolution is a good brand but more for cats. My vet recommends Heartgard therefore I'm using that for mine and I don't have any problems so far.
Reply:Not really, it can burn the dog's skin and isn't always completely effective.





You would do better to use a separate heartworm preventative and a separate flea preventative.
Reply:Heartguard plus, this is a really good product, get from vet, it not only prevents heartworms, but prevents hook worms, you can get the tablets, but most dogs love the chewables better, once a month........





all of my dogs have been on it since pups.....would not use anything else...





revolution is not that reliable....
